Este Puesto Reporta a Digital Solution Engineering Manager __ Role Mission Act as a technical authority in the development of engineering solutions focused on industrial automation, with a strong emphasis on the pulp and paper sector. This position is part of ABB’s Process Industries (PAPI) organization and plays a key role in supporting the success of the IDS team in the Americas. The role involves leading mid- to large-scale projects, ensuring high-quality technical delivery aligned with safety, cybersecurity, and compliance standards. Responsibilities • Serve as a technical reference, ensuring project execution is aligned with contracts, quality standards, safety protocols, and cybersecurity policies. • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and propose tailored technical solutions, incorporating continuous feedback. • Develop work plans, cost estimates, and ensure on-time, on-budget project implementation. • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure that systems are correctly manufactured, tested, installed, and commissioned. • Support and mentor engineers in technical development, promoting best practices and sharing lessons learned. Requirements • Advanced knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), exclusively in the pulp and paper industry. • Degree in Software Engineering, Automation, Artificial Intelligence, or Machine Learning. • Solid experience in industrial software development and implementation. • Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus). • Strong ability to engage with clients and translate business needs into digital and technical solutions. Preferred Qualifications • Hands-on experience in complex industrial environments and digitalization initiatives. • Participation in strategic projects with major clients in the pulp and paper industry. • Additional knowledge of digital automation platforms and industrial data solutions. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
